What is happiness
What is happiness

To my surprise, I’ve been genuinely happy and satisfied lately. This wasn’t always the case. Before, I used to focus on all the negative outcomes and worry about almost everything. That constant mental strain made me sad and frustrated with life. I sought validation for everything I did, and it always ended with disappointment. I began to think I might not be enough.

Last year, I started reading extensively and opening up to people—discussing my thoughts and feelings. I reflected deeply on what I learned, and somewhere along the process, I began focusing on positive energy. Slowly, I started feeling happier. I began noticing and even noting down the things that brought me happiness and peace. I also started talking to my friends about this mindset. Seeing them grow happier through these shared ideas made me even more motivated and optimistic. And that’s why I decided to write this article—to share this journey and way of thinking with everyone.

Realization: The First Step

The first step toward positivity is realization. You must recognize your current emotional state. It's simple—take five minutes, sit comfortably, and close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Focus on your breathing. Once your mind settles, try observing yourself from a third-person perspective. Think of all the people surrounding you, the good things you have in life. Now, one by one, begin to feel appreciation for each of them. Focus only on the good memories, the positive aspects.

Appreciation

Yes—appreciation!
Once you start appreciating everyone and everything, you begin to understand what true happiness is. Think of the time, effort, and care people have invested in you. Take a moment to realize the positive energy you’ve received from them. Let that energy flow through you. Let it touch you. Appreciate it.

Not only will it make the other person feel valued and happy, but it will also fill you with a deep sense of joy. The more you give appreciation, the more you attract happiness.

No Validation

Stop seeking validation.
This, I’ve found, is one of the biggest things that holds people back from true happiness. You will never grow if you keep relying on others' approval.

You have your own life, your own battles. You need to fight them in your own way. Don’t waste your energy worrying about what others think. Focus on your goals. Win your battles. Prove yourself through action.

No matter how hard you try or how big you win, there will always be people ready to criticize you. They’ll always find a fault. So stop trying to please everyone. From experience, I can tell you—seeking validation is a trap. Instead, focus on the positive impact you've made. Focus on those you’ve helped. Let that drive you forward.

Positivity

Do not feed anyone with negativity. It will come straight back at you.
Life is too short to waste on negative energy. Fill your chakra with positivity. Love the people you’re with—genuinely and completely. If they deserve it, they’ll appreciate it. If they don’t, wish them well and walk away.

It's simple: when you give someone positive energy, they’re likely to return it. People often deceive themselves saying things like, “This is who I am, I’m not changing,” or “I have my own problems.” But life doesn’t work that way. People do change, and often, it’s the love and positive energy they receive that changes them.

Everyone reacts to love. People grow in environments filled with respect and care. So why not be that source of energy? Uplift the people around you, and your own life will overflow with positivity.

And in case you don’t receive that positivity in return—let them go with grace. Don’t hurt them. The worst thing one can do is to hurt another. Trust me—they will eventually recognize your positivity and thank you for it, even if it’s years later.

This is your precious life—don’t stain your energy by causing pain. Love deeply. Be honest. And above all:

“Be The Wise One.”
